Good morning Loves and happy Friday.  We have a great giveaway for you today so let’s get into it.

If you read My Diary on a regular basis (and I’m sure you all do LOL) you know that I have adapted a healthy living attitude by cooking at home and working out on a regular basis.  I have thrown myself into several fitness communities and I even pick up a running magazine whenever I am in my local bookstore.

I am currently training for my first 5k run and next month I am attending SELF Workout in the Park in New York City – if you are going let me know and maybe we can take a class together.  I have to tell you that working out has done great things for my mental state, and it’s a huge stress relief.

It’s absolutely no secret that I love snacks, however snacking can be a very costly and very unhealthy habit.  With my recent decision to start running and training for my first 5k I have really been paying attention to everything that I put into my mouth from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed.

Snacking doesn’t have to be unhealthy and it doesn’t have to be costly, the key to smart snacking is to find a food that is nutritious and can be eaten on-the-go.  Fresh fruits and veggies are a great healthy snack, I love packing mini carrots in my lunches. Another very healthy, yummy and easy to eat snack is protein bars.
